[Gabon] Réconciliation nationale : le baroud d’honneur de Mayila.

Au lendemain de la présidentielle mouvementée de 2016, il a fait de la réconciliation nationale son cheval de bataille. Pourtant, quatre années après, Louis Gaston Mayila reste toujours incompris. Mieux, son discours est même de plus en plus inaudible.
Si lui-même continue de croire en un possible miracle de réconciliation nationale, pour de nombreux Gabonais dans les rues de Libreville, Louis Gaston Mayila porte là, un combat pour sa visibilité, son existence que pour son aboutissement, au regard notamment de l’indifférence presque généralisée des Gabonais plus préoccupés par leur train-train quotidien que par une hypothétique réconciliation nationale, dont ils ne voient pas l’urgence. Surtout dans un pays où le taux de chômage résiduel a dépassé les 33 %. Ajouté à cela les difficultés de logements, transport et de scolarisation de leurs enfants dans un contexte où l’école devient de plus en plus chère pour de nombreux parents pour l’essentiel sans revenus.
Pourtant, la logique à y regarder de près n’est pas sans intérêt. Surtout pour un Gabon dont le contentieux électoral n’a toujours pas été vidé, bien que les velléités de résistance se soient quelque peu émoussées chez les partisans de Jean Ping qui juraient ou jurent encore une résistance sans concession face au camp d’Ali Bongo qu’ils estiment avoir usurpé “leur victoire” en 2016.
Même si le temps aidant, certains “Résistants” à la recherche des prébendes ont déjà retourné leurs vestes en faveur du pouvoir, la situation politique, et même sociale du Gabon semble rythmée par le reliquat des violences post-électorales d’août 2016, l’une des composantes de la crise, Jean Ping n’ayant pas encore réussi à faire le deuil de sa “victoire volée”, alors que du côté du pouvoir, on continue d’arguer que les institutions fonctionnant normalement, parler d’un pays en crise relève de l’absurdité.
Devant cette radicalisation de positions, le projet de réconciliation nationale de Mayila apparaît comme vidé de sens. Surtout au regard de la crédibilité défaillante du porteur même de ce projet de réconciliation nationale, Louis Gaston Mayila étant perçu comme un vieillard sénile et embrouillé par le poids de l’âge, avec toute la versatilité qu’on lui connaît. Car sans une position cohérente, l’homme est réputé pour son instabilité politique, un peu comme à l’exemple de Bruno Ben Moubamba.
Tout cela fait que ce projet de réconciliation nationale, parce que porté par un vieux à la voix rouillée, ne produise pas d’échos retentissants auprès de ses destinataires radicalisés par le souvenir d’une élection dont le contentieux, quatre ans après, peine toujours à s’évanouir. Dans ce contexte, la mission de bons offices de Mayila apparaît comme un combat perdu, car prêchant dans le désert. Et le vieux le sait. Sauf que pour lui, cela reste un combat pour la survie politique. C’est un baroud d’honneur.
